The Highway of Holiness

One year ago I posted about how we as married men should celebrate our earthly brides (wives). Today I want to share something related to how we as believers (both men and woman), being the very bride of Christ (his Church), should make ourselves ready for a celebration of another kind... That is the marriage supper of the lamb (Rev. 19:7-8). Here Jesus will present her (you and I) to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, so that she (we) might be holy and without blemish (Eph 5:27).

What's my point?

Holiness Saints, is one of the great and unique virtues of our Lord and God, and so it must be of his people (his bride). If you doubt me, allow these 2 scriptures to convince you... With their emphasize on how we are called to be(come) holy as He is holy...

But understandably, holiness is not a subject that endears itself to many... And while no one can deny it's biblical importance or call, who can really stand before such a measurement of Godliness. Indeed, no old creation can! But...

The new self, that new creation being renewed in the spirit of its mind, and in the knowledge and image and likeness of God... That can! Praise God for the new self!
